Billy ‘the world’s biggest pig’, exhibited at the fair in 1934, was said to be 8ft 3ins long and 6ft 2ins in girth.
The newspaper article from which the picture was taken said that Billy was insured by his owner for £5,000 and his carcass would be presented to the British Museum when he died.
