A West Hallam teenager who won the Miss Derby Crown earlier this year has organised a charity bridal and hair show in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

Hannah Talbot, 19, won the crown in February and since then has been focusing her efforts on raising money for her chosen charity which she says has helped her family.

The Miss England finalist has now teamed up with local businesses Peter James Hairdressing, her original Miss Derby sponsors, as well as Harper and Finch on Bath Street and Moores Flowers on South Street to organise a bridal and floral show next Tuesday (May 13).

The part-time sales assistant, who has already raised almost £1,000 for her chosen charity, will also be modelling on the night, as the bride.

The hair and bridal wear show takes place at Morley Hayes at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 and can be purchase d from all the businesses involved.

All proceeds will go to the Alzheimer’s Society.
