MOST parents who have applied for a primary school place for their child this year have got their first choice.
Derbyshire County Council will send out letters on Tuesday letting parents know their outcome.
Of those who applied by the closing date for primary or infant school places, 95 per cent will get their first choice and 99 per cent will get one of their top three preferences.
For junior school places, 97 per cent of parents will get their first choice for their child and 99 per cent will get one of their top three preferences.
The authority is due to post letters making offers to 10,435 Derbyshire children.
