Mountainous display

THE LATEST photography exhibition at Erewash Museum is showing off the handiwork of a record-breaking mountaineer.

The breathtaking shots by Derbyshire author Nigel Vardy will be on show at the High Street Museum until July 30 and include photographs inspired by his travels around the globe and successes in scaling some of the world’s highest mountains.

Nigel, 42, became the first Briton to scale the highest peaks on the world’s seven largest islands over four years, a feat which took him to Borneo, Greenland and many more.
