Museum appeal for photos

RESIDENTS are being asked to dig out photos and memorabilia of the Queen’s Coronation for an exhibition that will be held at Erewash Museum to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June.

Cllr Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s lead member for culture and leisure, said: “A photographic exhibition showing how this borough celebrated that historic occasion in 1953 will be a wonderful tribute for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

“We now need local people to help our award-winning museum put together this exhibition by loaning us any photographs and memorabilia they may have.”

Anyone with photographs can contact Erewash Museum on 0115 9071141 or email
