Ofsted inspectors praise West Hallam pre-school

STAFF, parents and children at a West Hallam pre-school are celebrating after getting a good Ofsted report.

The West Hallam Village Pre-School, based at the village hall received a ‘good’ rating in all areas.

Ofsted inspectors said in a report: “West Hallam Village Pre-School provides a colourful, welcoming and stimulating environment for children’s learning.

“All children are likely to achieve the early learning goals by the time they are five-years-old.

“The educational programme promotes the early learning goals in all areas of the curriculum.”

The pre-school will be holding an Open Evening on Tuesday March 15 giving parents the chance to see what it has to offer. The village hall in West Hallam will be open from from 4pm to 6pm, the pre-school will be set up for a normal session and staff will be on hand to answer any questions.

Emma Trowbridge, from the school, said: “New parents who are interested in joining the pre-school are welcome to bring their children along to play and have fun.”
