Pupils at an Ilkeston junior school have enjoyed keeping fit with a string of activities as part of an Olympics week.
The activities at Kensington Junior School kicked off with samba and salsa dancing classes, and since then have included
kite-flying, fencing and having a go at some of the events Olympic athletes will be battling it out for this summer.
Each student picked a country and an athelete to study too.
School business manager Ann Mallon said the children have done ‘superb work’ during the week and are now all excited about the start of the Games.
