Open door on health talks

Members of the public were today (30 January) due to meet bosses from Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Trust ata question and answer session in Ilkeston.

The event at Ilkeston Community Hospital is one of a series of meetings designed to give people a chance to hear directly from members of the Board which manages local health services.

Trust Secretary Kirsteen Farrar said: “Engaging public involvement is a top priority for us.

“Our move towards Foundation Trust status is part of our drive towards providing greater opportunities for people to have a say in how we run and develop services in future.”

The Trust currently employs 5,000 people and runs 12 community hospitals, four minor injury units and 29 health centres, amongst other services.
