The organiser of a steam rally, which was forced to cancel earlier this summer, has said he was ‘over the moon’ with the support from exhibitors this weekend.
The annual Coppice Steam Rally was axed at the last minute in June because rain had left the showground off Cossall Road, Trowell, completely waterlogged.
But on Saturday and Sunday dozens of steam engines, tractors and other classic vehicles went on show for hundreds of visitors.
Clive Smedley said: “It was absolutely brilliant – I’m over the moon with the response.
“After cancelling the show and rescheduling it on a day when other shows locally were being held, it was fantastic to see so many exhibitors there.”
Some of the proceeds from the event will be donated to a good cause but Clive said they have not yet decided which yet.
