Parking fines are a scam

The fine Andrew Attenborough got (Advertiser, Thursday February 16) is the same as my son got.

He’d bought a ticket in November, put it on the dashboard the right way up.

It was a windy day and him and his partner had got one front door open and one back getting my son’s baby out.

The wind must have caused a breeze through the car and blew the ticket down into the footwell, but it could be seen.

This is a money-making scam by the council.

Also why do the tickets not have a sticky back any more so you could stick them to the window?

It’s time they came back because the council know what they are doing.
