Ilkeston mum wins life changing £100,000 thanks to radio station Gem 106

An Ilkeston mum has received a £100,000 boost during the pandemic after winning a radio station competition.

Hayley Brown had the Easter weekend of her life when she scooped the life-changing money on Gem’s Cash Register contest .

Hayley, who is a hairdresser, and her husband are both self employed, so have lost a lot of work due to the coronavirus crisis, so this couldn't have come at a better time for the couple.

She said: “I can’t believe it. To anyone who has any doubts about Gem’s Cash Register, it can be won and is seriously life changing.”

They plan to treat themselves and their young family of three girls, aged five, nine and ten.

They were due to go to Australia to visit Hayley’s brother, but now may not be able to go but this money will ensure the whole family will be able to get together in the future.

Hayley also plans to split some of the cash with her mum and two sisters who have entered the Cash Register together since it started.
