Two lanes on the M1 which were closed this morning after a lorry fire have reopened.

The incident happened on the northbound carriageway between junctions 27 and 28 at around 7am this morning.

Two lanes were closed for over an hour while the fire service damped down the burning HGV.

All lanes have now reopened and the Highways Agency say traffic is once more 'flowing well'.
