Pirate-themed fundraising helps kids

Nurseries across Derbyshire raised more than £9,000 for children's charity Barnardo's last summer, having fun by holding pirate-themed toddles.

Little ones popped on their eye-patches and breeches, as they completed half a mile to raise money for the most disadvantaged children and young people in the area.

Regional fundraiser, Jane Harries said: “A massive thank you to everyone who took part in last year’s Big Toddle.”

Barnardo’s Big Toddle 2016 is proudly sponsored by Aldi’s award-winning baby and toddler brand, Mamia.

Since the Big Toddle started in 1997 it has raised more than £14m for Barnardo’s.
