A Long Eaton pre-school has undergone a £140,000 refurbishment.

Erewash Borough Council owns the Broad Street building and leases it to St Laurence Pre-school and its after-school Club 11. The refurbishment was aimed at providing a better facility for the children to enjoy and includes new ceilings, replacement floors, complete redecoration, new double glazed windows and improved toilet facilities.

The Mayor of Erewash, Councillor Kewal Singh Athwal, pictured second right, was joined by council leader, Chris Corbett, second left, along with council officers and the staff and pupils of the St Laurence Pre-School to celebrate the re-opening of the school.

St Laurence Pre-school provides an educational and development facility for young children.
