PUPILS from Longmoor Primary School are celebrating after winning the area heat of a national competition.
Team members, Ceri-Ann Espin, eight, Abigail Hickling, nine, Tommy Johnson, ten and 11-year-old Alex Orgill won the heat of the Junior Inter-School Quiz Championship which was held at Bramcote Hills Primary School.
More than 1200 schools compete in the quiz whichis held at schools across the country.
Teams must include four pupils, one child from year three, four, five and six.
Headteacher Mrs Menzies said: “The children all did really well and we are very proud of them.
“we can’t wait for the next round and hope they do just as well.”
The Longmoor Primary team managed a winning score on 1900 points in the hi-tech quiz.
