STUDENTS at Derby College’s Broomfield Hall campus were visited by police last week for a talk on safety and crime prevention.
Pc Russell Crooks from the Ilkeston Rural Safer Neighbourhood Team spoke to pupils about issues both on and off the college grounds.
More than 70 students attended the session where they received information on mobile phone security, personal safety and advice on how to stay safe during the Christmas period.
Pc Crooks said: “It’s particularly important that these discussions are held now that the darker nights are upon us. Students came up with suggestions on how to stay safe and crime prevention.”
