PEOPLE can sign up now for the Sport Relief Mile challenge that will take part at Rutland Sports Park, Ilkeston and the White Rose Cricket Club, West Hallam, on Sunday March 25.
Residents are being asked to walk, jog or run a route, and have the choice of three distances, one mile, three miles or six miles.
By taking part, and asking friends and family for sponsorship, runners will also be raising money to help vulnerable people in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
Angela Kirkham, from Derbyshire Sport, said: “Sport Relief Miles are a chance to do our bit for a great cause while stepping out on the road towards a fitter and healthier lifestyle.”
