Six arrested after Long Eaton violence

Six men have been arrested following a violent incident in Long Eaton.

Police were called to Conway Street at 10.20pm last night (Wednesday, December 23) after witnesses said they saw a group of men fighting.

One man suffered a serious head injury which could be life-threatening and he remains in hospital.

Three of the arrested men are 18 and the others are 19, 23 and 27. They are from Nottingham.

Conway Street and Albion Road were closed while officers gathered evidence at the scene but both roads have now been re-opened.

Police have said they would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding while this important and necessary work was carried out.
