People in Ilkeston and Long Eaton got their red noses at the ready for Comic Relief on Friday, March 13.
Staff at Ward Recycling in Ilkeston took part in a 24 hour Spin-a-thon, which raised more than £2,000. Melanie Jackson, office manager, said: “We would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to Total Hire and Sales in Derby. Etwall Leisure Centre and Morrison’s in Ilkeston ,who supplied equipment and donations to enable us to do this challenge.”
At Ron Brooks Toyota staff have spent weeks doing various activities in a bid to raise cash and are well on the way to fulfilling their £5,000 target.
Neil Haynes, assistant sales manager, was a butler on Friday for customers who has donated a substantial amount to secure his services for the day, which included the use of a Auris Hybrid and lunch at the Newdigate.
Also pictured are youngsters who dressed up for the day, including Alissia Skylar-Luisa Palai who dressed as a cat. Vincent Smith can also be seen celebrating his second birthday on the same day.
Nationally Comic Relief has raised more than £78,082,988 so far this year.
