Ilkeston keep-fit fans show off their chiselled physiques in these pictures, which form part of a charity calendar.
Staff at the Manor Health and Racquets Club set some of their gym members the challenge eary this year to get in shape, ready for a professional photoshoot.
Some trained for six months to achieve rock hard abs bulging biceps and their efforts were captured in the 2014 calendar, which is in aid of Derby charity Me and Dee.
Personal trainer Tom Hutchinson-Smith and gym manager Dave Brown came up with the idea.
“People bang on about having a six pack for their holidays,” explained Tom.
“We thought why no set our members a goal to work towards. The results were really good.”
He explained how one member lost three stone during the challenge, and others were ‘unrecognisable’ by the time of the photoshoot.
Another calendar challenge is already lined up for next year.
The calendars are £6.99 and available from the Manners Road gym reception. All the money raised will go the charity which offers treats and experiences for people with life-threatening and shortening illnesses.
