Spooky goings on in town this Hallowe’en

It’s set to be a spooky Saturday in Ilkeston town centre...

A Hallowe’en-inspired day starts with a fancy dress competition in the Market Place, judged by Mayor of Erewash Cllr Val Clare at 12.30pm.

There is a pool party at Victoria Park Leisure Centre from 3.30pm to 5pm when the swimming pool will be spookily decorated and fun floats will be out.

Limited tickets are £3 each and there is a free toffee apple for every child and a chance to win an iPod.

Free activities include guided ghost walks around Market Place, ghost tours of the Town Hall and spooky story-telling sessions.

And look out for creepy characters roaming the town...

Skeletons, spooky masks and strings of jack o’ lanterns will all make for a ghoulishly good time at Erewash Museum’s Halloween-themed week of half term holiday activities.

The fun-packed line up of free arts and crafts runs from Monday (October 28) from 11am to 3pm everyday when children can drop in to make scary crafts and an eerie competition.
