An Ilkeston charity will host a charity football match next month with some big names set to attend.
Awareness for Autism will stage its second annual charity football event at Notts County Football Club on May 9.
The event will be attended by some former players and celebrities including Waterloo Road actors Richard Mylan and Joe Slater, as well as actress Suzanne Shaw.
The event will run from 12pm until 4pm and will also have the Stanton Ilkeston Under 13s boys team playing an exhibition match as a thank you for some recent fundraising they carried out for the charity.
Ilkeston based Star Wars troop ‘East Midlands Garrison’ will also be on hand to entertain the crowd, as many of them did last year when the event was held at Derby County’s iPro Stadium.
John Daly, who founded Awreness for Autism, said: “In the evening an after party will be held at the club which will also see the celebs who will be supporting and playing in the event, turning out to support us there aswell.”
