This is Garfield the cat, a stray picked up by the RSPCA who is now looking for a new home.
Staff at the centre think he is aged between three- and four-years-old and say he is a friendly cat that would make a great pet.
Karen Carter, manager at the Abbey Street centre, said: “He was found abandoned with watery eyes and looking a bit dishevelled.
“He loves any kind of food and his favourite thing is curling up in his box or on your knee to go to sleep. “He should mix well with other cats as he is quite confident and will be fine with children and dogs.
“He is on the road to recovery and just looking for a new home where he can enjoy his two favourite past times – eating and sleeping.”
