FORTY teachers at Ilkeston School are set to strike tomorrow (Tuesday) over planned redundancies of two teachers.
The King George Avenue school will be closed for students in years seven to 10, affecting about 650 pupils.
GCSE, A and AS level students will still be taught.
Five more days of strike action at the school are planned for coming weeks.
There will be a meeting tonight (Monday) at the school for parents about the proposed academy conversion.
