Sue Smedley is set to hang up her uniform and retire after a whopping 24 years selling schoolwear.
The 62-year-old, who owns the school outfitters Match Leisure Wear on Manner Road, said she would be sad to leave.
She said: “I will really miss the shop. I’ve made some good friends and this has been my life for a long time.
“I have watched children come in for their uniform every year, finish school and then go off into the world, get married and have their own children. Then they return with their own children – it’s lovely to see.
“Time really does fly when you’re having fun. I don’t have any plans for retirement yet, but I hope to take it easy and relax.”
All schoolwear is currently half-price and the sale will continue to run until stock is cleared.
