Summer fun at museum

Erewash Museum will kick off its summer holiday programme of activities on Saturday July 23 with a free fun ‘have a go’ dig session in the museum gardens.

Any finds will be identified by the museum’s archaeology expert.

The event is part of the BBC Hands on History programme and free activities will take place from 11am to 3pm.

From Monday July 25 to Saturday July 30 the museum, just off Ilkeston’s Market Place, will be hosting Space Week.

Children can have a go at making space-themed crafts and take part in fun games and competitions.

Free Craft sessions will be held Monday to Friday from 11am to 3pm and drop in competitions take place every day throughout the week.
