Dialysis patients at Ilkeston Community Hospital have received a boost thanks to a local business.
The hospital’s dialysis unit is the latest recipient of a ‘Making A Difference Locally’ grant from Bellini’s Limited.
The money will go towards the purchase of televisions, radios and books for patients.
Pat Bellini said the hospital originally approached them for raffle prizes for its annual Christmas raffle.
“Patients can spend four hours-plus on dialysis machines, three times a week, and it can be quite unbearable,” she explained.
“We decided that as it’s quite an important area within the hospital, we would give them money from our Making A Difference Locally fund.”
