A TEENAGE girl suffered back injuries after a collision at a crossing in Ilkeston on Friday.
The 17-year-old girl collided with a Peugeot car at the pelican crossing in Manners Road, on the approach to the Chalons Way roundabout at about 2.30pm.
There were two ambulances and a police car stopping traffic on the scene.
A force spokesman said that the car had been travelling slowly as it approached the junction when it collided with the teenager.
She was complaining of back pain so was taken by ambulance to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, where she was treated for bruises and abrasions to her back.
She was released from hospital at about 6pm on Friday as the injuries were not thought to be serious.
