Phil Bentley is the jog leader for the West Hallam Jog Derbyshire group.

Where were you born and bred and where do you live now ?

I was born in Hanley , Stoke- On-Trent in the Potteries. I now live in West Hallam

What are your hobbies and interests?

How long have you got. Running and cycling are my main interests. If I am in the right frame of mind I like doing DIY.

What is your favourite film of all time and why do you like it?

I’m not too sure about a favourite, it would probably be one of the Star War films, you can watch them over and over again.

What is your biggest achievement in life?

It would be the birth of my daughter.

What are your hopes for the future of this area?

I hope that there is more regeneration in Ilkeston and the surrounding area.

I would also like to see Jog Derbyshire flourish.

What is your favourite place to eat in Ilkeston ?

The Durham Ox pub in Ilkeston.

Where is your favourite local place to go on a day trip?

I am classing a day trip as being a bike ride. It would therefore be around Shipley Park and the local canals.

What is your idea of a perfect Saturday night?

I have two answers. If I was running on Sunday morning a quiet night in. Otherwise meeting some friends for a few beers and a curry.

If you could change anything in Ilkeston town what would it be ?

It would be to demolish some of the buildings in Ilkeston that are in a poor state of repair. But what to replace them with?

What do you think your epitaph would say?

It would probably say always tried to do his best no matter what he did.
