Lisa Wilkinson runs her own business, Stoma Style.

Where were you born and bred and where do you live now ?

I was born in 1985 in Nottingham and lived in Stapleford until I was 20 and then moved to Kirk Hallam and I am still living here now.

What are your hobbies and interests?

I love going for walks, spending time with my friends, and also my new partner.

I love my job and enjoy sewing and making things. I love animals and I do enjoy getting outside in my garden.

What is your favourite film and why?

My favourite film is Elf. It is a Christmas film but every year I have to watch it with my son. It helps to get us in the Christmas mood.

What is your biggest achievement in life?

Starting up my own business called stomastyle, making covers for colostomy, ileostomy and urostomy bags to help people feel better about themselves.

I have been doing it for over a year now and to get where I am now I feel very proud.

What are your hopes for the future of this area?

I would like to see some of the green grass on the streets tarmacked because in the winter when is wet it gets too muddy and looks horrible. Especially the roads with a green or park in the middle.

Also, I would like to see more small businesses doing really well.

What is your favourite place to eat in Ilkeston ?

I haven’t been to that many really, but I would say the Cat and Fiddle.

Where is your favourite local place to visit when on a day trip?

The Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

What is your idea of a perfect Saturday night?

Depending on the weather, either a few drinks out and a bite to eat, or staying in with a takeaway and a film.

If you could change anything in Ilkeston, what would it be?

I would love American Adventure to be brought back! I think that’s what the town needs.

A lovely town.
