Burglars removed fence panels to steal four top of the range bikes from a Stanton-by-Dale garage.

The theft took place sometime over Friday December 13 and Saturday December 14.

Two green lane bikes along with two mountain bikes of high value were taken.

A black and orange KTM 125, a black and orange KTM 350, a NORCO downhill bike and a black and white Scott Ransom bike which combined together are of high value.

Three helmets were also taken - an Airoh orange and white one, a red Scott helmet and a beige one which was a Dianese carbon fibre helmet (for mountain biking), all of high value.

Investigating officer Pc Sarah Carlile said: “We are appealing for any information surrounding these thefts.

“It may be that someone has purchased one of these bikes or might receive one of these bikes as a Christmas present.

“It appears well planned with the fence panels having been removed, the padlock cut and the bikes removed by some other vehicle. The offenders have made off with the bikes over a field.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to please contact PC Sarah Carlile on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting crime ref: 52730/13.
