Ilkeston woman Jayne Sheehan won Practice Manager of the Year at the Nottinghamshire Law Society’s annual awards.
Jayne has been in the role at Bhatia Best for over 15 years.
The awards panel recognised her contribution to the growth of the firm over her many years of service. Jayne started working at the firm in its early days, when there was only one office in Nottingham and staff of only 25.
She initially undertook a role as the firm’s head cashier, returning from London after four years working at Arthur Anderson but quickly demonstrated wider abilities in being able to handle a broader range of duties.
The firm has remained committed to legally aided work in crime, family and also public law and community care. The transformation of the legal aid arena across these areas has been seismic.
