THE SIXTH annual Harvest Moon festival this weekend is set to be the biggest ever with fun on offer for all the family.
On the festival site at Pioneer Meadows in Kirk Hallam on Saturday there will be circus skills on show, a petting zoo with animals from Quackers farm, and a feast of culinary delights, plus many more free activities.
All the events take place before night falls and the crowning moment of the festival starts – the lantern procession around the lake featuring lanterns made by Kirk Hallam schoolchildren.
Last year’s event saw hundreds of people flock to Kirk Hallam to enjoy the event, supported this year by the Friends of Kirk Hallam Lake, Erewash Borough Council, and the Kirk Hallam Community Alliance and others.
