Police have arrested two people on suspicion of drugs offences after officers from the Ilkeston Safer Neighbourhood Team executed a search warrant at a house on Cantelupe Road, last week.
The team carried out the search together with officers from our Uniform Task Force on Thursday, May 11 and recovered a quantity of what is believed to be cannabis, drug dealing paraphernalia and cash.
The two men, aged 44 and 17 years, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply. They have been interviewed and released under investigation.
PC Alex Hunt, from the team, said: “The action was taken as a result of intelligence received from the community. It shows that we will take positive action as we know that this type of alleged behaviour can have a detrimental effect on communities with associated crime and anti-social behaviour.
