A PLAN to build two houses in Long Eaton is set for approval at a meeting tonight (Wednesday) despite objections from neighbours.

Andrew Baldwin of Chilwell-based W. Westerman Ltd plans to build on land south east of 3 Hardy Close but neighbours are concerned about the effect construction work would have on the road, which is un-adopted.

The Environment Agency has also objected on the grounds that the development could present a flood risk.

But Erewash Borough Council officers have recommended the planning committee approve the plan.
