The roof of a car had to be cut off to free a person trapped after a horror smash between two vehicles happened in Sawley.
All emergency services were called to Tamworth Road at just after 4.50pm yesterday - Sunday, January 15.
A spokesman for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Three crews attended an road traffic collision on Tamworth Road Sawley and released one casualty by removing the roof of a car.
“The casualty was left in the care of East Midlands Ambulance Service and Derbyshire Police were also on the scene.”
A Derbyshire Police spokesman said: “A 29-year-old passenger was transported to Queen’s Medical Centre as a precaution after the Ford Focus in which she was a passenger was struck by a white Audi.”
