One man has smashed a world record gor carrying 11 smoking fire incinerators - on his head!

Strongman John Evans, from Awsworth Road, Ilkeston set a new world record on Tuesday, April 12 as he balanced the incinerators on his strong flat head.

The 69-year-old already holds more than 70 world records for his unique skill which has seen him balance everything from a car on his head to a fridge-freezer and then 275 pints of beer.

His most recent attempt also saw him lift gorilla tubs, and wheelbarrows but neither of these were record breakers.

John got in to headbalancing back in the 60s when he was working as a brick layer and had to carry bricks up and down a ladder and regularly carried 24.

It was only when a travelling strong man showcased his head strength by also carrying 24 that John realised he had a talent which has taken him all over the world from Honk Kong to New York.
