Crowds turned out in force to enjoy Long Eaton carnival at the weekend.
There was a nursery-rhyme theme for those taking part in the float parade with winners crowned in three categories, including best children’s float which was won by Nu Nu Nursery.
Chairman of the carnival, Pete Smith, said: “Everybody seemed to enjoy it. Apart from a couple of showers it all went well.”
The carnival, which takes place at West Park and includes a funfair, first took place in 1931 and volunteers are needed to get involved in next year’s event.
