A giant inflatable cottage was the star attraction at a play day event in Stapleford last Friday (August 16).
There was plenty to keep the kids entertained at the Broxtowe Borough Council-funded event at the Ilkeston Road recreation ground – from circus skills workshops to drumming circles.
The annual play day was one of four organised by the council across the borough, including in Eastwood, Kimberley and Beeston. They are aimed at keeping kids active during the summer holidays.
“The great weather made for an excellent day,” said Richard MacRae, of Ilkeston Road, who visited the event.
“This event seems to get bigger and better each year.”
