A former Ilkeston schoolgirl has launched a vocal group for disabled young people.
Abbie Tabberer, a former St John Houghton pupil, along with Big Help Management Record Company have set up ‘The invisible friends’. Abbie lives with various conditions all of which are invisible.
A workshop audition will be held on Sunday March 22 at The Church on Oakwood from 1pm until 3pm for 13-25 year olds. All members must have a confirmed invisible disability/illness and enjoy singing.
Abbie said: “By the end of the summer, we intend to launch The Invisible Friends by putting on a musical extravaganza.”
