Anyone wishing to join the Long Eaton procession should assemble at West Gate by 10.15am. The march will make its way to the war memorial outside St Laurence’s Parish Church at 10.30am for the Act of Remembrance and wreath laying at 10.45am.

A service and Mass will be held at St Laurence’s Church at 9.30am.

Councillor Athwal said: “I will be very proud to represent the borough at the civic remembrance service to pay tribute to the men and women of this country and the Commonwealth who have given their lives in the service of their country.

“I join the residents of Erewash in wearing my poppy with pride.”
