We are becoming a third world land

The problem with the high street is that every government, in my opinion, has affected the economy by using the money of the population for what are, in my view, farcical green initiatives we cannot afford.

The recession will not disappear until we stop wasting money on pipe dreams, the Government stops taxing us to the hilt and we can spend our money as we want. There is no incentive to work when so much of the proceeds are taken from you in taxes.

It seems unbelievable that in a town like Ilkeston the churches are handing out food parcels. We are becoming a ‘third-world’ country.

No-one in Government, in my opinion, wants to discuss this problem unless it is forced on them.

It is time to care about people in fuel or food poverty.
