Who from Ilkeston has been before the courts


The following cases have been dealt with at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court:

Donald Freeman, aged 48, of Birch Close, Alfreton, was found guilty of indecent exposure. The incident took place in Ilkeston in August last year. He will be sentenced on March 17.

Simon Gilbert, aged 40, of Station Street, Ilkeston, will stand trial at Derby Crown Court on March 10. He was charged with drink-driving and is alleged to have had 179 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 35. He also faces another driving charge.

Calvin Hawkins, aged 24, of Peveril Drive, pleaded guilty to possession of 0.60 grams of class B drug methylmethcathinone. He was fined £153, and must pay a £20 victim surcharhe and £85 costs.

Linzie Grey, aged 29, of no fixed abode, faces five charges including £400 worth of damage to a door panel at Ilkeston News, and possession of a axe and hammer in Tesco in Ilkeston, and possession of class B drugs. A warrant was issued for her arrest.
