Ilkeston FC’s first match of the new football season has been postponed.

The Robins are currently suspended by the Northern Premier League due to what league officials have described as ‘a breach in rules and regulations,’ and despite attempts to resolve the situation in time for tomorrow’s home match with Stafford Rangers to take place, it has now been postponed.

Ilkeston are next scheduled to play at Whitby Town next Tuesday night, but at this stage it is unclear when their suspension may be lifted.
