Steve Chettle had few complaints after seeing his side overcome Littleton in their final home game of the season.
The Robins were 2-0 winners to make it nine in succession as they try to cement second place in the league, with leaders Walsall Wood again winning comfortably to continue their title charge.
And despite the game never really getting going throughout, Chettle was satisfied with what he saw.
He said: "Littleton started well but we then got the goal and took control. We weren't at our best but if you'd offered me a 2-0 win in our last home game I'd have taken it.
"We were comfortable in the second-half and even though the second goal was a bit of a fluke, we deserved the win.
"It was good to finish on a high in front of our fans who have been fantastic all season.
Ilkeston will end the season with five away games, beginning with a trip to Racing Club Warwick on Tuesday night and then Heath Hayes two days later.
