Ilkeston Town continued their winning run with a 3-1 success at Brocton on Tuesday night.

The result left Ilkeston second in the table, three points behind leaders Walsall Wood who have three games in hand.

After a goalless first-half with few chances, Ilkeston went in front on 48 minutes when Malachi Lavelle-Moore scored his fourth goal in two games when he tapped in following Lavell White’s run and cross.

Jordan Wheatley then made it 2-0 five minutes later with a fine turn and shot.

Shaan Stuart flicked home a free-kick to reduce the arrears on 66 minutes, but the win was wrapped up for Ilkeston when Charlie Jemson headed home Jamie Walker’s corner on 73 to ensure the Robins went home with all three points.
