Lee Hughes has left Ilkeston FC to sign for National League North side Worcester City.
Hughes, 39, scored three goals in five appearances for Ilkeston after signing ahead of the new season, also receiving a red card on his debut against Skelmersdale United.
The experienced frontman netted against Grantham Town and Colwyn Bay before his final goal in the 4-3 win over Stourbridge on August 24.
Worcester play one level higher than the Robins and are also closer to Hughes’ West Midlands home, both thought to be key factors in his decision to leave the Robins.
Ilkeston CEO Nigel Harrop said: “Everyone at the club would like to thank Lee for his time here and helping us get off to a good start. We wish him well for the future and he’s always welcome back here at the New Manor Ground.”
