Mixed weekend for Nutbrook seniors and youth

Nutbrook 1st XI entertained Sandiacrce 2nd XI on Saturday and batting first made 197-8 , Matt Wakefield 77 top scoring for the home side.

In reply Sandiacre struggled as the Nutbrook attack bowled well, Max Magann with 4-54 and Darren Hoff with 3-43 the pick of the bowlers, but Sandiacre hung on to finish on 162-8, a winning draw for Nutbrook.

Nutbrook 2nd XI made the short trip to Breadsall and made 173-9, Johnny Taylor with 44.

Breadsall in reply, despite the efforts of Harry Duckles with 3-39, ran out winners finishing on 177-5.

Nutbrook 3rd XI travelled to Ilkeston Rutland, where Alistair Hodgkinson (50) and Rob Gilbert (36) helped them to 203-9, but Ilkeston cruised to victory finishing on 207-2.

Nutbrook U17s played Heanor and posted 125, Johnny Taylor with 49 Harry Cooke with 40 top scoring. In reply Heanor slumped to 26 all out, Ryan McGrath (5-6) and Drew Noon (3-1) ripping through the Heanor batsmen.

Nutbrook u13s kept up their 100 per cent record with a win at Spondon who posted 76-7 with Josh Newnham (3-6) pick of the attack. Nutbrook cruised to the target with Joe Newnham (25) and Ryan Yallop (16) top scoring.

Nutbrook u15s played Ockbrook and posted 122-4, Harry Duckles (50) and Joseph Taylor (34) top scoring.

Ockbrook in reply could only make 80, Duckles with three wickets and a couple each from James Woods and Alistair Hodgkinson securing the win.

Nutbrook u14s played Ockbrook in the semi-final of the Dawn Collard cup and posted 127-2, Alistair Hodgkinson (49) and Harry Duckles (39) starring with the bat.

Ockbrook posted 76-7, a couple of wickets from Ryan Yallop helping Nutbrook cruise into the final.

Nutbrook u11 Red, playing Shipley, posted 252-4, Luke Cox top scoring. Shipley finished on 234-5, Daniel Cox with three wickets helping Nutbrook to the win.

Nutbrook u11 Blue played Ilkeston Rutland and made 274-3, Josh Newnham top scoring.
