ILKESTON swimmer Krissy Tomlinson had a weekend to remember, taking part in ten races and securing six gold medals and four silver medals.
As if all that wasn’t enough, she was also named as top girls in her age group for her efforts against many other talented swimmers.
Competitors came from as far away as Dubai, and all over Europe and England, came to the Derventio Open Meet at Ponds Forge in Sheffield, battling it out honours in the 50 metres Olympic pool.
Krissy performances were outstanding and gained her gold in 100 metres backstroke, 200 metres backstroke, 50 metres backstroke, 50 metres freestyle, 50 metres butterfly, 100 metres butterfly and silvers in the 200 metres individual medley, 200 metres freestyle, 100 metres freestyle and 100 metres breaststroke.
Krissy produced personal best times in every event that she competed in, fine reward for the dedication she shows in swimming six days a week.
She swims for Ilkeston Swimming Club and the Derbyshire elite squad Derventio Excel. Both clubs send their congratulations for a fantastic effort.
