FIGHT NIGHT -- for kickboxer-turned-boxer Scott 'Fat Boy' Taylor.

Ilkeston’s Trinity boxing club will be taking in new members in June continuing the successful annual recruitment policy that the club have employed for many years.

With the competitive boxing season drawing to a close at the end of May thoughts turn to identifying and nurturing new talent .

Each year sees the club having the chance to work during the summer months with determined and enthusiastic new talent and each year uncovers new prospects who are able to fit into the squad and develop alongside the experienced performers.

This last season has been particularly exciting with several of the young squad making their debut and developing well during the season .

The club operate a waiting list so that the budding new boxers can join at the same time, receive attention from the coaching staff and develop together whilst being mentored by the current squad.

There will be several new members joining on the first night of the new training plan, which will begin on Tuesday 14th June and continue twice weekly on Tuesday and Thursday for six weeks .

There will be a few places still to be filled for candidates willing to work hard and have the desire to become part of a successful club.
